What we collect
When you use this website, we may collect:
- Information you give us through forms. Name, email, phone number, home address or ZIP, square footage and bathrooms, service preferences, sliding-scale interest, Sponsor a Clean nominations, shop waitlist signups, and anything you write in the message or notes fields of our forms.
- Marketing attribution data. When you click a link to our site from an ad, email, or another website, we record the source (UTM parameters, Google click ID, and the referring page) in a cookie on your browser so we can tell which marketing channels work. The cookie expires after 30 days.
- Standard server logs. Like every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information about each visit: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this to keep the site working and secure.
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure overall site traffic (how many people visit, which pages, where they came from). We may also use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure which ads bring real customers. Both rely on cookies set by Google on this domain.
How we use it
- To respond to you. Quote requests, contact form messages, Sponsor a Clean nominations, and shop waitlist signups all go to Bonnie so we can follow up.
- To deliver the services you ask for. If you book a clean, we use your contact information and address to schedule, confirm, and follow up on the appointment.
- To send transactional emails. We send a confirmation email after every form submission (a confirmation to you, a notification to Bonnie) through an email service called Resend.
- To understand how marketing works. Attribution data helps us see which channels bring real customers, so we don't waste money on ads that don't work.
We do not sell your information. Ever.
Who we share it with
Bon Bon Cleaning Co. uses a small number of services to run this website. These services see your information only to the extent needed to provide their function:
- Supabase — stores your form submissions and customer records securely. Hosted in the United States.
- Vercel — hosts the website and processes incoming requests.
- Resend — sends confirmation and notification emails.
- Stripe — when the shop is open for orders, processes payments. Stripe receives your name, billing/shipping address, and payment details directly; we don't see or store your card number.
- Cloudflare — manages DNS and provides basic security in front of the site.
- Google (Analytics + Ads) — receives anonymized page-view and event data so we can measure traffic and ad performance. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
We may also share information when required by law (for example, in response to a subpoena), or when needed to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies:
- Attribution cookies (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_term,utm_content,gclid,referrer) — set when you arrive via a tagged link. 30-day expiry. Used for marketing measurement. - Cart cookies (
bonbon-cart-v2) — set only when our shop is open for orders. Stores your cart items locally so you don't lose them between visits.
You can clear cookies anytime through your browser settings. Doing so won't affect your ability to use the site, but you may need to re-enter information in forms.
Data retention
- Lead and quote submissions are kept in our customer records so we can serve you better if you come back. You can ask us to delete them at any time (see below).
- Server logs are typically retained for 30 days by our hosting provider.
- Attribution cookies expire after 30 days on your browser.
- Email records are kept for accounting and follow-up purposes.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the information we have about you
- Correct anything that's inaccurate
- Delete your information (we'll comply unless we're legally required to keep it for tax or business records)
- Opt out of marketing emails (every email we send has an unsubscribe link)
To exercise any of these rights, email Bonnie at bonnie@bonbonclean.com and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe (usually within a week).
Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have, please email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “Last updated” date at the top. If the change is substantive, we'll do our best to notify you (a note on the homepage, or an email if we have your address).
